Reading is a great way to keep your mind stretched out and capable
of thinking.
Here are some magazines that might help tickle your brain
cells.
Use 'em or lose'em, dearies!
And if you are set on losing them anyway,
pour a little knowledge in there to keep them company on the way. Add
some humor! A dash of facts...then stir.
Try a magazine; do remember that it is perfectly
acceptable to look at the pictures AND read
the articles!
Or how about a good book?
Why not go visit your local public library
this week--
it is a resource that is free and available for everybody, and there are
not too many things you can say that about that you'd actually want to
have! (Most of the others require professional treatment to cure...)
If you want to take the books, magazines, tapes cds and videos that
you find there home with you for a while, get yourself a library
card---there are a few requirements, like being human and having a
piece of mail with your address on it. A few others things might be
needed that vary by where you are--ask the librarians and they are
happy to assist. Then, just be responsible, treat the items well and
bring 'em back on time and you can keep borrowing different ones!
Its
a fabulous thing, one of the best and most truly liberal AND
conservative things about America because it serves us all and
archives information. That's what keeps us free, toots; its that free
flow of learning and potentials.

As that dear old rapscallion Groucho
Marx once said "Outside of a dog, a book is Man's Best Friend.
Inside of a dog, its too dark to read."
Ah, how I miss that man and his brothers....Minnie's Boys were
quite the hoot. And the stories Harpo would tell!!You can find their DVDs at many libraries--or take a
look at Amazon.com where you can find them along with other wonderful
classic comedies. And NEW funny stuff too!
